A Day in the Life (Your New Purpose) As a DSP, you'll partner with individuals to help them live more independent, community-focused lives. Your day might include:
  • Mentoring someone on life skills, like cooking, cleaning, or managing a budget.
  • Providing transportation to a job, a doctor's appointment, or a community event like a cooking class or a swim meet.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support, perhaps watching a movie, engaging in conversation, or helping with an evening routine.
  • Helping someone achieve their personal goals, like learning a new skill or building new friendships.
