• Must have relevant work experience on AS400 Administration at level 3
• Perform IBM iSeries administration, including system installs, PTF deployment, software installation, configuration, custom development and security.
• Execute performance analysis and system tuning for optimum performance.
• Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution and follow-up for system, application and customer problems.
• Install, upgrade, configure, test and maintain 3rd party software applications.
• Capacity expansion of managed servers - Disk/memory/CPU/adapters
• Knowledge of CL programming and DB2 concepts
• Patch management - OS patching and upgrades including management and improvements to the patching process.
• Good Understanding of HA and DRS environments and site recovery concepts
• HMC hardware firmware and update/upgrades
• Experience with Vision Solutions MIMIX/iTera, BRMS and Advance Job Scheduler/Robot Scheduler a plus
• Rebuild production & development servers when they are irrecoverable.
• Design, install, configure and manage IBMi server.
• Install configure and manage HMC servers (Hardware Management Consoles)
• Install configure and manage BRMS (Backup Management software for IBMi)
• Install configure and manage MIMIX/QEDD replication software.
• Manage audits for IBMI team submitting evidence to audit including peer review of audit materials.
• Provide level 3 support for all activities to the IBMi team.
• Hands on experience of hardware backup solutions consisting of Tape Drive, Tape Library

Roles & Responsibilities
• Work independently with vendor and guide Ops team.
• Point of Contact support for any major incident escalation
• Perform architecture reviews and aid application teams in transitioning into container/ Cloud environments based on solution.
• Manage and guide L2 OPS (24*7) support team for all BAU issues.
• Mentor and train OPS new members.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline.
• Manage all engineering escalations.
• Strive for looking best practices in industry, analyses existing environment and propose remediation plans.
• Asset and Competency Development (update existing SOPs and create new one based on day-to-day activities)
• Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies
