Position Summary

Join our team as a Vehicle Maintenance Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and their electrical and electronic systems. In this dynamic position, you will provide support to experienced technicians, ensuring that tools, materials, and supplies are readily available while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities and Duties

This list is intended to provide a snapshot of your responsibilities. As a Vehicle Maintenance Assistant, you may be called upon to perform a variety of tasks that contribute to the team's success.   • Tend to and monitor equipment and machinery to confirm safe and efficient operation.
  • Inspect and test machinery, equipment, and parts for defects to ensure optimal performance.
  • Modify, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and parts using hand or power tools.
  • Assist in installing or replacing machinery, equipment, and components with hand or power tools.
  • Clean and lubricate vehicles, machinery, and tools, ensuring a high standard of maintenance.
  • Apply protective materials to prevent defects and corrosion on equipment and components.
  • Transport tools, parts, and supplies between workstations and various areas.
  • Disassemble broken or defective equipment under supervision.
  • Support experienced mechanics with maintenance tasks, building your mechanical expertise.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Trade school or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Inspection License is a plus.
  • CDL Class B with passenger endorsement or willingness to obtain.
