Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles to aid Collision Estimators in assessing damage and creating a complete Repair Plan.
• Identify and execute all necessary repairs to eliminate supplements and reduce repair time.
• Follow work orders diligently for all repair operations.
• Carefully remove upholstery, accessories, and components to access damaged areas, ensuring parts are stored safely.
• Repair body damage through techniques such as hammering, filling, and welding, ensuring quality fit and finish.
• Utilize various hand and power tools effectively (e.g., welders, grinders, sanders).
• Prepare surfaces by filing, grinding, and sanding before transfer to the Paint Department.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to guarantee adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned and comply with all Classic Collision standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications are preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in collision repair is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a team setting.
• Ability to follow written instructions accurately.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.

Physical & Environmental Demands

Employees in this role will frequently engage in physical activity, requiring the use of hands for various tasks. They may need to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds. Visual skills required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
