We are currently seeking a proactive Production Operations Specialist who will play a crucial role in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting our production systems. Your primary focus will be to ensure uptime, stability, and performance across our AWS infrastructure and our React/Node.js application stack, which includes a React Native mobile app. This role is focused on operational excellence rather than feature development. You will respond to incidents and work on continuous improvements to enhance our operational processes and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain all production systems, including AWS-hosted microservices and front-end applications.
- Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 production support by identifying and resolving system issues, outages, or performance bottlenecks.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, assist with production releases, and ensure smooth deployment processes.
- Document systems and processes, including runbooks, operational manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Respond to incidents according to established procedures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand system architecture, dependencies, and key operational metrics.
- Contribute to scaling the operations team, defining processes, and assisting in onboarding new support members as the system and team expand.
