Description - Your Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests-covering areas such as hematology, immunology, chemistry, and more-following established protocols to ensure accuracy.
- Evaluate test outcomes for consistency, resolve any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance along with calibration on laboratory instruments.
- Support specimen collection efforts and prepare samples for analysis as required.
- Document all lab procedures extensively, train newcomers or interns, and help maintain the lab's high-quality standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment while following all recognized safety guidelines and compliance requirements.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a comparable allied health degree alongside ASCP or AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
- Required to maintain current certification for duration of employment.
- Exceptional communication abilities and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with diverse healthcare professionals.
- Able to utilize independent judgment and problem-solve effectively in fast-paced or demanding situations.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially concerning quality assurance and documentation protocols.
