Are you ready to make a difference in the operating room? Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist I to join our amazing OR team. With our innovative care and commitment to patient safety, you'll be an essential part of helping people live well.
Your Impact: As a Surgical Technologist, you will:
- Prepare the surgical area by utilizing aseptic techniques and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Assist with various procedures and maintain knowledge of surgical practices.
- Ensure operating room safety and efficiency, including room setup and equipment management.
- Occasionally serve as a Second Assistant in surgeries.
- Transport patients and manage inventory of surgical supplies.
Your Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Requirements: You should be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Push or pull with 30 lbs of force.
- Operate essential equipment and endure a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay range: $26.10 - $39.15 per hour.
- Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus with relocation, plus a $2,000 bonus for PM shifts.
