Schedule Details:

This is a full-time position working evening shifts of 8 or 10 hours. You'll have the occasional call, primarily overnight and on weekends, ensuring your flexibility and adaptability are key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment that promotes optimal patient care.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Set up the operating room for each case, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining the sterile field during surgeries and support the surgical team.
  • Transport patients and equipment as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient care for various age groups and assist in positioning and transporting patients.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience is required, making this a fantastic opportunity for new graduates.
  • Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques and equipment used in the operating room is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency are necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks routinely.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Exposed to various hazards including mechanical and chemical elements, requiring appropriate PPE.
