This engineering role can be filled at the Senior Engineer level, with a salary range of $117,000-$143,000 per year based on experience.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
You will engage in advanced technical and engineering problem solving to support nuclear plant operations, acting as a technical expert and resource for fellow engineers. You will be responsible for making technical decisions and will require a deep understanding of your discipline as well as applicable industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deliver comprehensive technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
- Provide guidance and consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Exercise engineering and technical leadership for programs affecting site operations, both short-term and long-term.
- Execute engineering tasks as directed by management, applying established engineering principles.
- Ensure accountability for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
- Make recommendations for equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material flaws, or comply with regulatory changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years of engineering experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or related coursework.
