Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our People team. The People team is responsible for supporting the well?being and performance of all HRTers across our global offices. From recruiting to onboarding to continued engagement and development of our employees, our People team is dedicated to creating an environment that is authentic, inclusive, and reflective of HRTs values.
As a Benefits Specialist, youll support the health and welfare of HRTers globally by administering employee benefits programs, data integrity, maintaining benefits?related documentation, conducting billing and eligibility reporting, addressing employee inquiries, and more. Youll be asked to bring an analytical approach to everything you do, continuously improve and streamline HRTs benefits administration and workflows, and ensure we are compliant while were at it.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in benefits administration, strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to think critically and voice concerns, and familiarity with HR systems (Workday preferred).
Responsibilities- Benefits Administration
- Partner in overseeing benefits, ensuring smooth operations and superb employee experience.
- Assist with onboarding new vendors, coordinating setup and required documentation.
- Conduct global invoice auditing to ensure proper reconciliation and compliance.
- Support plan renewals, open enrollments, and related system updates.
- Employee Support
- Field benefit questions, providing timely and accurate responses for our global employee population.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes related to benefits, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Maintain and update benefits wikis, employee? and candidate?facing documents, and email templates.
- Data Management
- Process and analyze weekly reports for self?insured medical insurance.
- Prepare and submit monthly COBRA reporting.
- Process and input monthly taxable benefits data for payroll accuracy.
- Prepare benefits analytics, helping assess plan performance and cost trends.
- Manage benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes, ensuring accuracy in Workday and with third?party vendors.
- Workflow Management
- Develop and maintain workflow process documentation related to benefits administration.
- Monitor Workday benefit integrations and file feeds, address errors, and troubleshoot with carriers.
- Project Support
- Research and assist global benefits compliance.
- Assist with new project planning, research, and implementation.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration within a fast?paced environment.
- Experience with HR software platforms, Workday preferred.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and a deep understanding of how systems work.
- Exceptional analytical & organization skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Highly ethical and accustomed to managing highly confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of relevant benefits laws and curiosity to learn and stay up?to?date.
- Outstanding presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on job?related skills and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance?based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
