Senior Software Engineer

Fabletics Inc. is looking for a remote Senior Software Engineer for our Warehouse Management Systems.

Fabletics Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team remotely. This role focuses on the development, enhancement, and maintenance of cutting-edge application systems that drive innovation and growth on the Evolve platform.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong follow-through abilities, capable of optimizing workflows and documenting changes clearly.

This position will report to the Sr Manager, Engineering - Evolve.

What you will do:

• Design, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures against a large, distributed system.
• Participate in database design, schema evolution, and data modeling to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to interface with upstream and downstream systems.
• Ensure adherence to the software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Create effective documentation for stored procedures, database logic, and APIs.
• Collaborate with platform architects and engineers to ensure optimal database and system performance.
• Automate testing, performance monitoring, and defect resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance bottlenecks, deadlocks, and blocking issues.
• Tune indexes, queries, and execution plans to improve performance on high-volume workloads.
• Foster trust and accountability within the team, contributing positively to day-to-day activities.

What you can bring:

• 5+ years professional software development experience.
• Expert-level SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing strategies, stored procedure development, and performance tuning in large transactional environments.
• 3+ years experience managing, developing and scaling large scale back-end systems
• 2+ years experience developing in JavaScript for NodeJS
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
• Experience with other dynamic and functional languages such as Python, Ruby, and Go, TypeScript a plus.
• Ability to recognize and implement design patterns when developing software.
• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality SQL solutions in high-growth, fast-changing environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $130,000-$150,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate's related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
