Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $30 to $34 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing any inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, as well as check payments
- Process timely payment of invoices, including coding invoices to proper general ledger accounts
- Reconcile payment statements and transactions
- Ensure all terms and conditions of contracts are adhered to and payments made in accordance with contract terms
- Review, verify, and process all incoming invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and approvals
- Associate/Bachelors degree in business, accounting or related filed preferred
- 2+ years of recent accounts payable experience within car dealership/automotive industry
- Advanced MS Excel and dealership management systems
- Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, including posting, balancing, debits and credits, and journal entries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational ,and problem solving skills.
