Job Description
Summary:

The position of Project Engineer is responsible for executing the engineering scope of work for a project. This position will support the execution of subsea projects by providing technical expertise and engineering leadership. This individual must be team-oriented and customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills and should have the ability to handle multiple technically challenging deep-water subsea projects, both domestic and international.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact for the project manager for all technical aspects of the project.
  • Work independently under limited supervision to estimate, plan, and execute all engineering deliverables for a project.
  • Deliver engineering solutions for assigned projects.
  • Plan and coordinate all engineering activities throughout assigned projects to meet schedule.
  • Define the project bill of material including any required testing, spare, and ancillary equipment.
  • Evaluate design changes and actively participate in technical design reviews.
  • Lead internal and external meetings as needed to resolve interfaces and technical clarifications.
  • Manage and organize own workload allocation to meet agreed project timelines and budget.
  • Write and review engineering documentation such as design basis specifications, technical queries, client deviation requests, test procedures, operating manuals, etc.
  • Ensure completed final project documentation, archival, and closeout.
  • Report day-to-day technical status of all assigned projects to management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Participate in design and safety reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, FMECA, risk assessments, etc. and ensure all minutes and actions from each are documented and archived throughout project.
  • Disposition non-conformance reports (NCR) and review vendor deviation requests.
  • Be familiar with Company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Share knowledge & best practices across the company.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Field experience with subsea oil & gas production systems.
  • Field experience with subsea intervention and workover systems.
  • Experience with Solidworks, or other 3D CAD software.
  • Experience with ANSYS, or other FEA software.
  • Experience with Mathcad, or other engineering mathematics software.
