Maintenance & Facilities Leader

GHSP is currently hiring a Maintenance & Facility Leader to join our Facilities team in Grand Haven.
What You'll Do
Facility Management
Coordinate and oversee daily work assignments for maintenance personnel, ensuring appropriate staffing and workload distribution. Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety standards, preventive maintenance schedules, and union work rules.
Building and Grounds Management
Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting facility and grounds issues, escalating complex problems as needed. Monitor maintenance of tools, vehicles, machinery, and equipment; ensure inventory of supplies and parts is kept at adequate levels.
Production Equipment & Building Upkeep
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and lead preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for equipment, buildings, grounds, and exterior infrastructure (e.g., roads, parking lots, landscaping, sidewalks, signage, fences).
Department Management
Communicate effectively with management, union representatives, contractors, and other departments regarding project status and priorities. Support emergency response efforts for facility and grounds-related incidents. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours.
Lead Maintenance and Tooling Teams
Train and mentor employees on proper work methods, equipment use, and safe practices. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

What You'll Bring
- Technical or trade certification or equivalent experience; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Maintenance preferred.
- Electrical maintenance experience desired: preference given to candidates with a journeyman electrician certificate or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years in a technical or building & grounds maintenance leadership role, automotive industrial experience is preferred, facility certifications are a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Proficient in using maintenance management systems and standard computer applications.
