PDS Tech Commercial is Hiring an Instrumentation Technician III in North Chicago, IL.

Job Title: Instrumentation Technician III

Job Type: Full time; contract 6+ months

Schedule: Onsite; 1st shift

Location: North Chicago, IL

Pay: $38 per hour

Role Overview

The engineer supports labs by installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced analytical instruments like:

  • HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography)

  • GC (Gas Chromatography)

  • Mass Spectrometry systems

They also:

  • Diagnose issues

  • Perform preventive maintenance

  • Train peers

  • Manage customer relationships

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair chromatography and mass spectrometry systems

  • Troubleshoot and optimize instrument performance

  • Use CMMS to track service requests

  • Train others and advise on system configurations

  • Ensure regulatory and safety compliance

Qualifications

  • Preferred : Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biotech, Engineering, or related field

  • Acceptable : Associate's or high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience : 4-5+ years with LC, GC, HPLC/UPLC, or MS systems

  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with data interpretation and system configurations

Pay Details: $38.00 per hour
