Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparing and organizing the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures
- Ensuring sterile fields are maintained while adhering to stringent infection controls
- Handing instruments and supplies to surgeons and their assistants with precision
- Preparing and managing surgical equipment before, during, and after procedures
- Monitoring supplies to ensure everything is ready for each operation
- Collaborating effectively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for optimal patient care
- Maintaining accurate counts and thorough documentation throughout the surgical process
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation and procedures across various specialties
- Strong communication and teamwork capabilities in high-pressure settings
- Quick decision-making skills to respond rapidly to the surgical team's needs
- Exemplary organizational skills and an unwavering eye for cleanliness and detail
- Proficient in aseptic techniques and the maintenance of sterile environments
