Job Description:
As a Tax Manager in our Dealership Tax Services group, you will play a key leadership role in providing comprehensive tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the retail automotive industry. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with dealership owners, controllers, and management teams while advising on complex tax issues unique to the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee tax research to support client positions and identify planning opportunities
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal engagement teams to address a broad range of tax matters
- Manage and review tax compliance and planning processes, ensuring accurate tax calculations, effective implementation of tax strategies, and strong client relationships
- Lead, train, and mentor interns and staff, fostering professional growth within a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting critical deadlines
- Support firm initiatives by contributing to client development, process improvements, and the delivery of an exceptional client experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or a corporate/public mix
- Big Four or large regional CPA firm experience strongly preferred
- Active CPA license required
- Experience serving automotive dealerships or clients in the dealership industry preferred
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
- Proven leadership and project management experience, including overseeing client service teams and managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service and long-term relationship building

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,500.00 - $201,000.00 per year.
