Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a part-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing food processing company in Philadelphia, PA. The Accounting Clerk will support day-to-day office operations, process invoices in QuickBooks Desktop, maintain accurate records, answer phones, and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks. Key Responsibilities

- Process and manage approximately 10 invoices per day using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate accounting and administrative records.
- File and organize physical and electronic documents to keep office records current and accessible.
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries, and handle general office correspondence.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping, accounts payable support, invoicing, and general administrative tasks.
- Prepare documents in Microsoft Word, update spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, and support management with special projects as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $22.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
- Position Type: Part-time, temp-to-hire.
- Consistent daytime schedule.
- Opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process invoices and maintain accurate records using QuickBooks Desktop.
- Support accounts payable, basic bookkeeping, filing, and office administration.
- Answer phones, manage correspondence, and assist with day-to-day office operations.
- Prepare documents and update spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant administrative, office assistant, accounting clerk, or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
- Basic Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional phone skills and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a small office environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable handling multiple office support tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience handling accounts payable and invoice processing.
- Experience working in manufacturing, food processing, or a small business environment.
