Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient department operations.
- Assist with casework and documentation for individuals supported by the organization.
- Support checks and balances for employees under your supervision.
- Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Uphold and advocate for the rights of individuals served.
- Act as a mandated reporter by promptly reporting any suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, or sexual assault.
- Allocate agency resources effectively, including products, space, time, and personnel.
- Prepare and send departmental correspondence and reports as requested by the Director of Client Services.
- Provide word-processing and graphics support for the Vocational Department.
- Maintain accurate filing of invoices and corporate information.
- Assist with transportation and vehicle arrangements for vocational work sites.
- Provide backup coverage for administrative staff and participate in special projects as needed.
- Maintain a courteous, positive, and professional demeanor when interacting with individuals served, coworkers, and the community.
- Driving is required as part of the role.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous clerical or administrative support experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude with strong multitasking abilities.
- Creative self-starter who can engage effectively with coworkers, individuals served, and stakeholders.
- Must have a personal vehicle and a valid California driver’s license; driving is an essential function of this position.
- Must provide ongoing proof of current state-required auto insurance.
- Must successfully complete fingerprint clearance through the California Department of Justice and the FBI.
- Bilingual skills and prior experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are a plus, but not required.
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, twist, and walk; may occasionally need to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
$23.00 per hour. Monday-Friday 30-35 Hours Per Week
