Responsibilities Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a hospitalProvide care for critically ill children with a range of medical and surgical conditions, including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO21-bed PICU with multidisciplinary team supportUses Epic EMR; recent Epic experience requiredDay/evening 12-hour shifts, Friday through SundayFloating is required; travelers are first to float and may work in multiple units or locations as staffing needs changeParticipate in a family-centered approach to care alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary teamFirst time travelers can be considered if they meet experience requirementsWork in a Magnet-designated, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU environmentScrub attire required as per unit policyOrientation and training provided as needed Requirements Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license from permanent residence stateCurrent BLS and PALS certification through the American Heart AssociationMinimum two years acute care experience within the last three yearsAt least three years Pediatric ICU experience at a high acuity hospital or strong Level II experienceBasic Arrhythmia experience required and ability to pass a telemetry test prior to startEpic EMR experience within the past 12 months preferredPermanent address must be at least 50 miles from primary work site location Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-644585.
