Responsibilities Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with a 38-bed capacityPatient population includes adolescents to geriatrics with a variety of medical-surgical diagnosesRemote telemetry monitoring is utilized on the unitAverage patient ratio is 1:6 per nurseUses Epic EMR (Epic experience required), Pyxis, and SBAR communicationNight shift schedule (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am)Weekend shifts required every other weekendFloating to other units may be requiredNo on-call responsibilitiesDuties include providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population with remote telemetry monitoringNavy blue scrubs are requiredMust be able to work assigned holidays according to facility policyTime off not permitted during the first week and a maximum of 7 days RTO is allowed per assignmentFirst-time travelers are acceptedLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateFull compliance must be met prior to start; non-compliance may delay start by two weeks due to bi-weekly orientationNo blocked scheduling permittedTravel pairs are not permitted to be scheduled the same shift on the same unit Requirements Active GA or compact RN licenseMinimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg experienceCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationEpic EMR experience is requiredMust provide two supervisory references (manager or above)Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 year to return as traveler, or must complete a successful assignment elsewhere before returning if deemed unable to return Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-654907.
