Job Description:

Job Summary: The Director Interprofessional Well-Being will provide professional expertise and leadership to direct and oversee the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all aspects of a collaborative, educational and integrative model for well-being for the interprofessional healthcare team members of JPS Health Network. The Director will explore and address multiple aspects of individual and health system well-being and create institutional systemic solutions and processes to foster a collective culture of well-being.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
  1. Provides professional expertise for well-being curriculum design, program evaluation, and instructional methods.
  2. Directs and oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of an ongoing institutional interprofessional well-being program to support well-being at the individual and system level.
  3. Incorporates the ACGME physician well-being requirements and key support areas (resources, education, influence, research, and collaboration) into the clinical learning and work environment to ensure compliance and promote all aspects of well-being, engagement, and resilience and combat burnout.
  4. Fosters a learning and work environment with a culture of respect and accountability for well-being aligned with quality and patient safety initiatives.
  5. Monitors the effectiveness of well-being initiatives and activities for the system and clinical care team.
  6. Conducts comprehensive assessments of current institutional and departmental models of well-being, policies and resources.
  7. Teaches well-being lectures, seminars, and training sessions to facilitate resident, faculty, and interprofessional team member development.
  8. Oversees administration of well-being surveys.
  9. Provides periodic reports and updates regarding institutional well-being programs and outcomes for senior leadership and accreditation agencies.
  10. Works collaboratively with our employee assistance program (EAP) and other behavioral health programs to facilitate access to clinical health psychology services, including consultation, therapeutic treatment, and brief assessment.
  11. Participates in and/or lead committees related to well-being, including, but not limited to the Graduate Medical Education Well-Being Subcommittee.
  12. Facilitates wellness group activities in the educational programs.
  13. Participates in community development programs addressing well-being.
  14. Engages in personal scholarship (e.g., dissemination of work through publications, presentations, and may include research).
  15. Collaborates with the Executive Director of Academic Affairs, manages all components of GME well-being programs including budget, metrics, and program development.
  16. Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or PsyD in psychology, marriage & family therapy, or in a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 years of experience as a people leader in healthcare and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in graduate medical education and aptitude in ACGME requirements preferred.
