Job Description

General Function: The Manager -- Business Development position will be responsible for development OEM Server, Storage, Software and Networking business by pro-actively working with inside and outbound sales team to qualify and close new business and increase awareness of OEM solutions. This role will be accountable for OEM product and services quota attainment and reporting on a regular basis to keep senior management apprised of progress toward goals. Essential Duties Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this position. * Responsible for qualifying and driving OEM server, storage, and networking business throughout the entire sales cycle within prospective and existing client-base in coordination with the inside and outbound sales and marketing teams. * Increase OEM solutions awareness within sales and delivery organizations. * Actively work with sales and partner management teams to leverage special OEM programs. * Proactively assess market opportunities and trends. * Facilitate national and regional relationship development between Pomeroy and OEM team members. Supervisory Responsibilities: * Manage centralized OEM technical configuration team Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required: * 7+ years in the IT industry as a senior-level business development resource * 5+ years solution development experience * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills * Highly-competitive and motivated personality * BA/BS preferred, but experience is of primary importance. High School Diploma required. * Demonstrable knowledge of previous technology related objectives, initiatives and strategies. * Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. * Appropriate sales certifications preferred * Appropriate technical certifications preferred Physical and Mental Demands The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this class. Incumbent must maintain composure in a fast paced, high quality environment where personal and team accountabilities are the defining factors. General office environment Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
