About the Role:

Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Lead Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in MEP, tool install, and full project lifecycle cost management within the semiconductor sector. This role requires a hands-on leader with American cost experience who can work directly with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure efficient cost control, budgeting, and reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all cost aspects of semiconductor projects, including MEP systems, tool install, and infrastructure
  • Work closely with clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to ensure cost efficiency and value engineering
  • Develop cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for all project phases
  • Oversee procurement, change orders, and contract administration
  • Conduct risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Provide accurate cost reporting and presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, contracts, and best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in cost management / quantity surveying within the semiconductor sector
  • Strong expertise in MEP, tool install, and high-tech facility construction
  • American cost experience and familiarity with U.S. construction pricing
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings for cost implications and constructability
  • Ability to lead and manage cost control across multiple project stages
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of contract structures and procurement methods
  • Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., CostX, Procore, Excel, SAP)

Education & Certification

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
  • MRICS, CCP, or equivalent certification is a plus
