🌟 We're Hiring: Accountant II 🌟 We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant II to join our team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and experience with various accounting software. This role requires a commitment to accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions. 📍 Location: Oxford, NY ⏰ Work Mode: Work From Office 💼 Role: Accountant II What You'll Do: ✅ Compile and analyze revenue-related financial information and prepare entries to general ledger accounts✅ Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications✅ Perform timely and accurate account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies✅ Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for the revenue general ledger✅ Assist with financial audits and implement audit recommendations to improve processes✅ Monitor quality assurance related to posting, billing, and collection activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness✅ Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures for Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, and private pay billing cycles✅ Coordinate with admissions, registration, accounts receivable, and third-party collection functions✅ Ensure internal controls are in place to safeguard accounts receivable records and cash application processes✅ Coordinate education, priority setting, and action plans with leadership for program initiatives✅ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with management across departments to advise on billing and collection policies✅ Present in-house training sessions and participate on internal teams and committees✅ Lead billing-related projects and ensure assigned projects are completed successfully✅ Design and prepare periodic financial and operational reports✅ Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of Billing Supervisors✅ Assist supervisors with setting standards, assigning priorities, staffing plans, and performance monitoring✅ Ensure policies are interpreted and communicated consistently✅ Maintain ongoing communication with staff through meetings and publications✅ Perform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For: Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and revenue recognition Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close processes Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, insurance, and private pay billingenvironments preferred Experience supporting audits and implementing process improvements Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear, accurate reportsBenefits: Health Insurance Sick Time 401k Ready to make an impact? 🚀 Apply now and let's grow together
