Prepares and maintains written correspondence as required. Performs routine computer-related duties including data entry and retrieval. Performs routine clerical, scanning and filing duties. Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation and spelling. Knowledge of Public Records Law and requirements. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, schedule and manage daily work activities, tasks and assignments in accordance with agency policies and regulations. Creates and maintains confidential and computerized files, records, and documents. Establishes a sophisticated tracking system for tracking, response and reporting. Works closely with the College’s legal counsel to assemble responses, including data and documents, and assesses Prepares reports to collect service fees associated with the fulfillment of Public Information Records requests as needed Ability to gather and analyze research data such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes and documents. Reviews and redacts records to assure legal sufficiency. Coordinates communication amongst inter and intra Departmental record custodians in order to fulfill Public Information Record requests. Serves as the point of contact for the Attorney General’s Office regarding Public Information Records requests Skill in the use of office equipment including computers and various software applications. At least one (1) year of work experience in a related work setting and duties required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills. Strong proficiency in composing correspondence and preparing lengthy documents and reports. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
