Under general supervision, the Airport Operations Specialist monitors the automated security access and building management systems. Employee works in a highly technical operations center located in a public area of the terminal building and serves as the department's first point of contact for the public. Employee provides continuous services to the public involving sensitive matters demanding outmost tact and resourcefulness. Position requires thorough working knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration regulations, as well as local Police, Fire, and Aviation Department polices and procedures.About the Organization: McAllen is one of the fastest growing cities in America with a population alone close to 148,000.
