Vice President of Business DevelopmentThe VP of Business Development is responsible for the ongoing leadership and management of all Business Development activity within the region. The primary role of this position is to achieve established new business growth targets. This will occur through individual contribution and leadership of a Business Development team.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCultivating a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievementAchieving identified growth and financial goalsDriving sales team to achieve weighted pipeline goals and quota achievementDelivery of detailed and accurate sales forecastingImplementation of sales best practicesRecruiting, hiring, training, development and retention of Business Development staffMaintaining awareness of internal and external factors which may influence business performanceManagement of sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growthDefine and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectivesManaging customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfactionIdentifying target accounts that fit the ideal property profile and establishing winning strategies to pursue these accountsExecuting an established Sales Methodology, Sales Process and Sales Cadence to ensure all customer messaging is consistent with company standardsAdditional Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdminister and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targetsWork closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programsManage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunitiesTravel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationshipsCompile information and data related to customer and prospect interactionsMonitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functionsSupervisory ResponsibilityOversee Business Development and sales support teamsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university10+ years sales experience, preferably in a service fieldKnowledge, Skills & ProficienciesCommitment to continual learning through industry programs and educational opportunities that enhance interpersonal skillsIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word and ExcelGoal-minded with a self-starting drive to get the job doneAbility to listen to others, collaborate, and resolve conflictProtect the confidential nature of the work as appropriateExecutive decision-making capabilitiesStrong client interaction and visibility skillsEffective oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to implement and monitor progress under pressure and deadlinesExcellent problem-solving and ability to use creative alternativesAbility to work effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas constructively and addressing problems to find practical business solutionsStrong ethical practicesTools & Equipment UsedComputer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.Physical Requirements / Working EnvironmentMust be able to lift 25 lbs.Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to communicate both on the phone and in person with clients to resolve issues and manage the businessMust have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboardMust be mobile enough to move around the office and property (including lengthy walks on uneven areas)Talking and hearing occur continuously when communicating with guests, supervisors, and associatesNormal office conditions apply; hours may include evenings, holidays, and weekends as business needs requireTravelFrequent travel to regional offices for internal or customer meetings may be required.
