Overview We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT), also referred to as our Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The Respiratory Therapist carries out respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as directed by the medical and cardiopulmonary directors, based on physician orders. They focus on assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting care while considering the specific needs of patients based on age and population. Bonus: $10,000 Bonus OptionShift’s Available: Day ShiftEmployment Type: Full-timeHours: 7a - 7pLocation: Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, KSHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easilyConduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patientsSet up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life-supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independentlyMay be part of a rapid response team in emergencies, which you will provide airway management, perform intubations, and resuscitate patients in critical situationsAssess patients' respiratory status, monitor their progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed Ensure that all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent infections and ensure patient safety Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
