At GM, we believe work-life harmonization is essential to a team member’s success and job satisfactionThe Role: GM Audit Services (GMAS) ensures operational integrity and efficiency across the enterprise. The Staff Auditor in Corporate Functions and Financial Audit supports the Manager and Lead Auditor in the planning and execution of audits in line with the vision and strategy of GMAS. What You'll Do:Developing audit plans, including identification of risks and control procedures to testMaintaining and updating risk and control matrices for assigned auditsEnsuring adequate testing coverage and appropriate workpaper documentationInterpreting data and analyzing results using analytic tools and techniquesSupporting, and at times, leading status meetings with the auditeeAssisting the Lead Auditor in drafting audit issues, ensuring the root cause is accurately identified and addressed in the related management action planAssisting the Lead Auditor in the drafting of the audit reportSupporting the timeline for audit planning, execution, and reportingBuilding strong relationships with the business and service linesParticipating in ongoing professional developmentServing as a brand ambassador for GMASYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field2+ years of experience in audit, accounting, finance or similar roles High integrity, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in ambiguityEffective time management and prioritization across multiple projectsEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independentlyDemonstrates positive, proactive, and innovative attitudeEffective analytical and problem solving abilitiesWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldProfessional certification (e.g., CPA or CIA)This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
