Slitter Operator

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Slitter Operator position at their Villa Rica I facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. Qualified candidates should have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Pay: $21.077 - $27.21+ per hour depending on experiencePlus an additional $2.50 per hour for the night shift premium.Schedule: Nights 3/2 Night Schedule 7:00pm-7:00am (after training)Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life – after 30 days of employment401K with company matchHourly Bonus Program – per month and quarterTuition ReimbursementAnnual reviews with a potential for a pay rate increaseUp to $120 for steel toed shoesUp to $135 for uniformsUp to $132 for prescription safety glassesOvertimeMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalentMust be at least 18 years oldAt least 1 year of experience operating a machine is preferred Internal Candidates:Last performance review was rated “Performer” or higher No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 120 daysMust be in current position for at least 120 days.Job Responsibilities:Prepare master rolls for slittingPlace rolls in machine and prepare for splicingProperly segregate and label all materialsEnsure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operationsCommunicate orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift informationAbility to troubleshoot if neededUnderstand and follow Food Safety GMPsEOE F/M/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disabled/Vet Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
