Apply today to find out how you can become a part of our team.Compensation:$18 - $30 hourly DOEResponsibilities:This position is primarily working with installing applications in the commercial and industrial sectors for SMSI, particularly supermarket refrigeration installation.Working with copper refrigeration line sets to construct, build, install, and repair equipment for commercial and industrial useIdentifying equipment maintenance risks and hazardsMaintain collaborative working relationships with customers and coworkersPerform installation of flex and sheet metal duct systems in light commercial Perform installation of HVAC-related equipment while following company policies and manufacturer's specificationsUnderstanding of the principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heatingAbility to use hand and power tools associated with the HVAC fieldEnsuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working condition and up to dateAddress customer concerns before, during, and after service visitsFollowing occupational health and safety regulationsObservation of all company and customer procedures and safety rulesThis position is safety sensitiveQualifications:Knowledge of mechanical systems, components, tools, and materials related to the HVAC/R industryAbility to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and diagramsMust be able to travel out of the area for workBe able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders, work from heights, or work in small crawl spacesDemonstrate mechanical competence and skillsUnderstanding principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heatingExcellent verbal and communication skills in order to manage HVAC protocolsAbility to adapt to changes as they occur and work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environmentAbility to work independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done the first time correctlyClass E driver's license and OSHA certification are highly preferred and will be required within 30-60 days of employmentAbout CompanySMSI is dedicated to providing the highest quality mechanical services performed in an honest, dependable, and efficient manner.
