Description Kalahari Resorts & Conventions delivers a waterpark resort and conference experience all under one roof. The authentically African-themed resort is home to America’s largest indoor waterparks and features well-appointed guest rooms, full-service Spa Kalahari, a fun-filled family entertainment center, on-site signature restaurants, unique retail shops and a state-of-the-art convention center. We are inviting you to apply for the Italian Restaurant CDP position. In this role, you will support the Chef in the kitchen operation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the preparation of food items and visually inspecting all food products to be served to ensure they all meet the quality standards set out by departmental and resort management. He/She is also responsible for assisting in ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen, and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio. We require that you have background, consisting of 1+ year experience in a high-volume production kitchen is preferred. Additional required skills include: Operating knowledge of food management systems: Flat grill, pasta well, steam table, browning oven, cheese chopper/grater, steam jacket, ovens, top burners, pizza and dessert cooler, slicer, broiler, steamer and knives. Weekends, evenings and holiday availability is a must.
