We are currently seeking a transportation design engineer for a full-time position in our Fairview Heights, IL office. Our company offers a locally competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package.Job Description:The transportation engineer will perform civil engineering design services in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors which range in scope from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies - municipal, county and state.Duties & Responsibilities:The following duties are typical for this position: Daily production of civil engineering design plansWork as part of a team to deliver quality design that adheres to the project budget and scheduleResponsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project executionPerforms other job duties as assignedKnowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university required4+ years of hands-on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projectsPE license requiredProficiency in Microstation as well as a related transportation design package (OpenRoads Designer, Geopak) although candidates with an AutoCAD/Civil3D background will also be consideredWorking knowledge of DOT/AASHTO StandardsDOT project experience is preferred (IDOT is a plus)Strong verbal, written, and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other general office softwarePhysical Qualifications:Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time.Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time.Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software.EFK Moen, LLC offers its full-time employees:Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Company HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company ContributionCompany sponsored Short and Long-Term disability coverageCompany sponsored life insurance coverageBonus opportunitiesSupport of professional organization membership and activitiesWork-life balance through a flexible, casual work environmentA culture of mentoring and teamworkEFK Moen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
