This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Mechanical Engineer, we’ll count on you to:Coordinate the work of the mechanical design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a projectEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceCoordinate workload to complete the document on scheduleConduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesReview mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite and edit mechanical specifications, selects equipment, mechanical systems and devicesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededConduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators or Mechanical CAD Technicians as neededPerform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications 5-10 years experience in HVAC and plumbing systems designRevit MEP experience preferredComputer experience utilizing MS Office, IESVE, Trane TRACE, or similar manufacturer selection softwarePrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustCommercial/institutional experience in healthcare, technology/data centers, and/or water-wastewater preferredMaster’s degree or other advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasisExperience and/or interest in sustainable design, LEED, desired but not required#LI-MV3Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or ) license. Experience in commercial or institutional facilities Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
