This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer, we’ll count on you to:Coordinate the work of mechanical engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's developmentEstablish client relations, and participate in marketing, design and production meetings with regard to mechanical systemsAssume the mechanical lead on many projectsParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplinesCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on scheduleTrack the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work efforts with the team to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon scheduleWork with the Project Manager, Regional Controller and Regional Director for project reviews with corporate management as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Computer experience utilizing MS Office, IESVE, Trane TRACE, or similar manufacturer selection softwareRevit MEP experience preferredCommercial/institutional experience in healthcare, technology/data centers, and/or water-wastewater preferredMaster’s degree or other advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasisExperience and/or interest in sustainable design, LEED, desired but not required#LI-MV3Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering A minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or ) license. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
