GSF is committed to innovation, sustainability, and creating safe, reliable careers in food production.    ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, lead a team of skilled technicians, and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment and facilities. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, managing preventive maintenance programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support production goals. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Maintenance LeadershipSupervise daily maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of work orders, rapid response to production breakdowns, and compliance with safety and productivity standardsSchedule, assign, and monitor preventive maintenance for production machinery, support equipment, and spare parts inventory to minimize downtime and meet production schedulesLead and mentor a maintenance team of 10–20 employees, fostering skill development and teamworkEnsure all work is performed according to GSF standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, USDA, etc.) Project & Budget ManagementDesign and coordinate in-house projects to improve productivity, efficiency, and reliabilityMonitor and control maintenance budget to achieve cost containment and efficiency targetsTrack and report on maintenance KPIs such as downtime reduction, cost savings, and project completion rates Communication & CollaborationCommunicate maintenance standards, expectations, and performance goals to the teamPartner with production and other departments to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and improve processesServe as the point of contact for maintenance-related concerns and escalate issues as necessary Additional DutiesReview and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation to plan maintenance workIdentify and resolve anomalies or irregularities in equipment performancePerform other related and assigned duties as needed to support facility operations WHAT YOU’LL NEED Education & Experience:Up to 18 months of post-high school education in engineering, electronics, or a related technical field from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college3–6 years of relevant maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role Knowledge & Skills:Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, pneumatic, boiler, and other mechanical systems (journey level)Understanding of maintenance practices in a manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with OSHA and USDA regulationsAbility to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentationStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesEffective communication and leadership skills to coach, motivate, and develop a teamProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications Physical Requirements:Ability to climb, crawl, squat, kneel, reach, and twist as neededLift, push, pull, or carry objects over 25 lbs.Work in a general manufacturing environment with high standards for quality and safety WHAT YOU’LL GET   People First: At GSF, we're not just a company; we're a dynamic community where your talents are celebrated, and your ambitions are nurtured.    Values Driven: Our core values drive everything we do, creating a culture of innovation, integrity, and excellence.
