Job Description As a Security Guard - Patient Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.21 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials and providing directions as needed.Support Allied Universal management and site leadership with additional duties as requested, in alignment with the unique needs of a healthcare facility.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.A New York State Security Guard License is required.At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
