We're always looking to add flexible substitute guides to our on-call list. Are you interested in working with infants, toddlers or preschoolers as a Substitute or Part-time Teacher at Guidepost Montessori? This position will support multiple mixed-age Montessori classrooms. No formal Montessori training is needed to apply. We will provide training as part of your orientation and on-boarding.This could be an on-call position where we will reach out to you as-needed to provide coverage when full-time teachers are out sick or on vacation or part time afternoon hours. The Substitute Teacher/part time teacher role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at Guidepost Montessori. Many of our substitutes ultimately transition into full-time Assistant Teachers with us when new openings become available. Starting rate is between $17- $20 an hour depending on availability and credentials.About You Experience working with children ages 0-6Have completed the education training hoursEarly Childhood Education (ECE) credits, CDA or desire to completeValid negative TB test taken within last 12 months (prior to start date with Guidepost)Ability to work well with other adultsGrowth mindset and problem-solving approachFamiliarity with the Montessori approach to education is preferred, but not required About Us is a community of trained educators who are driven by a deep desire to bring about widespread change in education today.
