IDS, GeoRadar, NA, - A Hexagon Company, is a leading global provider of Interferometric Radar solutions & Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). IDS GeoRadar, NA has an immediate opportunity for a Technical Support Engineer as part of the IBIS Team in our Golden Colorado office. The IBIS systems are used to monitor ground movements in potentially unstable slopes to determine the risk of failure of that specific slope.
Main Functions
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
The position requires travel at least 50% of the time, within USA, but may also require outside of USA, for example, Canada, Mexico, Central America, S. America, and/or the Dominican Republic where it will be required to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions. This position may also require travel to Europe for training. Work trips typically can be 5-7 days, dependent customer location. In some cases, the work trip could be longer than 7 days. The work trips can be scheduled with minimal notice and might continue to weekend.

Our ideal candidate
- Associates Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred with an academic focus and or strong accumulated skills in electrical, mechanical, geotechnical engineering, or geo-science-related field.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and circuits
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to travel 50% of the time with minimal notice which might be on the weekends and or Holidays.
- Ability to participate in a 24/7 technical support on-call rotation which will require work to be before and after business hours including the weekends and holidays.
Desirable Skills
- Fluent in French or Spanish
- Good understanding of InSAR principles and theories
- An understanding of networking and communication between various devices in a network
- Network troubleshooting experience
- Good understanding of structural geology, geological principles, and their applications for slope movement analyses
- Knowledge of basic small diesel engines and repair experience
- Ability to tow and maneuver a utility trailer
- Customer service experience
- Experience in the mining field
Compensation
Target compensation is $68k per year plus a bonus based on company performance.
K matching up to 6% of base pay. PTO. Medical, Dental, Vision, Healthcare FSA and no cost Life Insurance.
