Mid-Level Systems AdministratorCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company’s Specialized United States (US) Infrastructure Operations (SUSIO) Organization is currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join the team in Berkeley, MO.This position will install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.As a Systems Administrator, your expertise will play a crucial role in integrating logistics, manufacturing, and engineering into a cohesive ecosystem. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a secure network that supports all tools and, more importantly, the personnel involved in this mission.This role directly supports our Air Dominance (AD) programs. You will be tasked with installing, operating, securing, and maintaining the dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure necessary for delivering products to our customers. We offer Enterprise capabilities within closed networks, encompassing standard office functions, application development stacks, engineering workflows, vulnerability remediation, and more.Position Responsibilities:Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activitiesProvide support for Windows Operating Systems (OS)Provide basic network supportSupport of VMware Environmental Sensor Effects (ESX) environmentsProvide operations support for both servers and desktop systemsProvide analysis of computing requirementsInstall, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software and componentsEnsure computing inventory tracking and shippingDocument and implement computer applicationsProvide restoration of basic computing service operationSupport activities to ensure security of information and systemsProvide comprehensive computing support in closed environmentsProtect classified and proprietary informationSupport security audits as assignedMaintain knowledge of various government and corporate security plansBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Current CompTIA Security+ certification3+ years of experience in VMWare Virtualization3+ years of experience in performing hardware installation, modification and testing3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2022 Windows 10)Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 11Experience with hands-on support with IT Hardware such as setting up, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting switches, routers, network equipment, high performance computing equipment, server racksPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience designing & implementing Windows Systems3+ years of experience troubleshooting operating system and installation problems3+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application supportExperience with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policiesExperience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systemsExperience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMwareExperience with NetBackup or NetworkerExperience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile MethodologiesExperience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Unix/Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/Oracle) server/workstationExperience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolutionExperience integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, Host Based Security System) into information systemsDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
