Title: Control Room Operator Position Type: Contract Location: Atlanta, GA (Marietta area) Reports to: Remote Operations Center Manager Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary: NAES is seeking a Control Room Operator to join our Remote Operations Center (ROC) in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will operate and monitor a wide range of power generation technologies from a centralized, state-of-the-art control room. The ROC manages projects worldwide, including renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro), reciprocating engines, simple cycle, aero-derivative, combined cycle, and process equipment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced SCADA systems and cutting-edge operational tools, with training provided as needed. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations for multiple facilities across various technologies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operations including monitoring, startup, and shutdown of multiple power generation technologies that may include Reciprocating Engines, Wind Turbines, Photo Voltaic Solar Units, and/or Gas Turbines. • Support the integration of various existing control systems with the Remote Operating Center’s (ROC) SCADA system. • Work within the SCADA software platform to remotely monitor, startup, shutdown and reset a variety of power generation systems. • Perform system maintenance and operational changes / improvements under an established Management of Change (MOC) process. • Provide proactive system support, working closely with our customers and our Operations center. • Troubleshoot software and system components, from field device communication to the data historian, using available in-house and online support resources. Job Requirements: • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proven problem-solving ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement solutions • Experience with gas turbines and/or power plant control room operations. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Education / Experience: • Previous experience in a power generation control room environment • Familiarity with SCADA systems • Gas turbine operations experience preferred
