Asphalt Plant Crusher Operator

Position Summary : As a “Heavy Equipment Operator”, your general responsibilities will be working with the plant crew loading and feeding a crusher plant and trucks. We mine aggregate, crush, and classify into spec aggregates, then haul to our Denver area asphalt and concrete plants. The asphalt and concrete that we produce is a key component to many Denver area construction projects. Functional Responsibilities: Primary responsibility involves the safe and skilled operation of the loader/excavator (Cat 980/982 Loader + CAT 330 Excavator) Strong understanding and daily compliance with Brannan safety standards and policies as they relate to a “Aggregate Plant Equipment Operator.” Daily compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies Responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform thorough pre-trip + post-trip inspections daily Assists in maintenance and repairs of the plant, conduct daily safety walk around making sure the plant is in safe working condition Ensure the plant is running at its maximum efficiency and if it is not, communicate this to the plant manager Multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordinglAbility to follow directions Performs other related duties as assigned Must have a “safety first” attitude. Position Requirements Qualifications: 2-3+ years Heavy Equipment experience General knowledge of working around large aggregate mines and equipment Must be at least 18 years of age Must have a Valid Driver’s License Must have flexibility for overtime Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Show up to work every day, and on time No use of cell phones during work shifts Must be safety-minded, team-oriented and customer-focused Detail and technically oriented individual Must be self-motivated with ability to perform duties with minimal supervision Excellent time management skills; good planning skills; able to multi-task Able to work in outdoor setting under varying weather conditions Physical Requirements: Standing - 8 to 10 hours daily Walking - 8 to 10 hours daily Sitting – 8 to 10 hours daily Bending/Stooping - 8 to 10 hours daily Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping) – 8 to 10 hours daily Lifting (weights up to 50 lbs.) - Occasionally Lift and Carry (50/60 lbs. for 20 feet) - Regularly Push / Pull – 8 to 10 hours daily Equal Opportunity Employer Brannan Companies allows for Equal Opportunity Employer.
