Part-time Job Announcement Position: Part-time Adult Education ABE/HSE Instructor Location: Athens, GA Department: Adult Education Reports to: Executive Director of Adult Education & Walton Campus Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits. Deadline to Apply: January 26, 2026 at 4:00 pm. Responsibilities: Identify student goals and design an appropriate program to address goals. Conduct assessments in reading, mathematics, and language in accordance with the appropriate assessment systems in order to ascertain the academic strengths and weaknesses of participants. Develop individualized plans of study for each participant in the program. Plan and deliver effective and comprehensive adult education instruction based on the appropriate curriculum guides and the needs of the population to be served. Plan, develop, and implement lessons that require the usage of higher-order thinking skills by the population served. Monitor and evaluate student progress for the purpose of determining and implementing modifications to the student’s original individualized program of study. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business Education, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree. Understand adult education systems within the Technical College System of Georgia.
