Here’s what you can expect as part of the Bodewell team:•Annual wage increases and uncapped incentive opportunities• Service van provided• Laptop computer and smartphone• Uniforms, work boots, and specialized tools• Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance on DAY ONE• 401K and tuition reimbursement• Paid vacation and paid holidays• Career growth opportunities and continuous technical trainingCompetitive hourly rates: $24 – $33+ base, depending on experience, certifications, and location.PositionAppliance Service Technician (Cherry Hill, NJ)LocationUSA, Cherry Hill, NJHow You'll Create PossibilitiesAs a Bodewell Appliance Care Technician, your responsibilities will include:Diagnosing and completing in-home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliancesUsing sound judgment to recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs, prioritizing repairs whenever practical.Promoting and selling service contracts, water filters, and related products/appliances as appropriate, always focusing on value-driven solutions and the best customer experienceOperating an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locationsAccurately documenting repairs, routes, and work activitiesParticipating in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain industry expertiseManaging inventory and maintenance of your service vehicleDelivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer satisfactionFollowing all safety protocols to protect yourself and othersWhat You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Qualifications:HS Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)1+ years of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenanceAbility/experience diagnosing and repairing major appliancesExcellent customer service and communication skills with a responsive, professional approach.Basic computer aptitude including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite specifically Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.Ability to work a flexible schedule with some Saturdays as neededHave and maintain a valid state driver's license and successfully complete background check, physical, and drug screen.Must have or be willing to obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.Wear uniform & maintain standards of personal grooming & appearance consistent with GE Appliance valuesSelf-directed and solid team playerAbility to deescalate situations and rebuild customer confidence in our productsAbility to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:Ability to step up, into, and out of a van and sit for extended periods of timeAbility to handle/work with parts/equipment which may be hot, cold, and/or wetAbility to use often powered hand tools and occasional use of vibratory tools/equipmentAbility to handle and lift parts or materials min. of 77 lbs. lifting/carrying and 70 lb. pushing/pulling is requiredPreferred Qualifications:6 plus months of experience with Refrigeration repairExperience using Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) systems.CFC CertifiedCertification in appliance repair or associate’s degree preferredRead and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and other service information.Our CultureOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
