Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility, Inc. Rolling Stock is seeking anexperienced Commercial Project Manager Director with a proventrack record of successfully leading international, sophisticated projects. Asthe Commercial Project Manager Director, you will oversee a largemulti-billion-dollar complex Trainset project spanning 8-10 years. Yourresponsibilities will encompass commercial project execution across variousphases, including planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning,and customer acceptance. You will serve as the primary point of contact for allcommercial matters with the end customer. Additionally, you'll collaborateclosely with operational departments to achieve Order Income Calculationtargets while ensuring customer satisfaction, cost control, adherence toschedules, and high-quality deliverables. The role also involves fulfilling theWorld Project Controller function to maintain financial compliance at theglobal project reporting level. Reporting to the Director of Financial BusinessAdministration (FBA), you'll provide critical support to the Project Manager inall aspects of the project.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Monitor and manage the financial performance of assigned projects. Anticipate changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and develop cost-effective contingency plans. Supervise and control project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables, aligning them with business goals. Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders. Assist the Project Manager in developing and delivering monthly project reports, customer progress reports, change proposals, and presentations to both internal and external stakeholders. Coach, mentor, empower, and supervise project team members and contractors, fostering positive action and accountability. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Assist with customer sales channel activities.To thrive in this role, you have:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (preferred). Industry Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience related to the rolling stock industry is helpful. Specialization: Experience in controlling, accounting, contracts, and claims within rail vehicle commercial project management is preferredWhy you'll love working for Siemens
