Job Summary:
The Golf Course Maintenance Foreman is responsible for assisting in the operating functions of the Golf Course Maintenance Department. The operating functions include: Turfgrasses/plant material maintenance programs, property/asset management, budgeting, forecasting, financial management, scheduling daily maintenance programs and scheduling of irrigation systems, pesticide applications, related recordings, and compliance of regulatory issues.
Day-to-Day:
Assist Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in providing agronomic direction for the healthy growth of the golf course & Clubhouse Grounds grasses, trees, and other plant materials. Supervise the application and recording of chemical applications on the Club's grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Supervise the safe use and maintenance of the golf course mechanical equipment by employees. Ensure staff are working within OSHA, Club safety, state, and federal guidelines for safe working conditions. Provide technical, operational, and safety training for employees. Fills in to perform all functions and routine golf course maintenance activities as needed or as directed by Golf Course Superintendent. Must be willing to go above and beyond the normal day duties when the need calls for it, working long and sometimes odd hours. Filling in for Superintendent when neededAbout You:
1-5 years in Golf Course Maintenance. Preferred 2-year degree in Agronomy/Horticulture field. Required Pesticide Applicators license within 3 months. Valid Driver's license.
