Key Responsibilities Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings. Perform complex dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMMs. Analyze CMM data, generate detailed inspection reports, and identify non-conformances. Design and create appropriate fixturing for parts to be inspected on the CMM. Validate and optimize CMM programs to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve product quality. Perform routine calibration checks and minor maintenance on CMM equipment. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models. Solid knowledge of metrology principles and measurement best practices. Experience with CAD software for model import, feature creation, and path planning. Proven ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize CMM programs for efficiency. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in multiple CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS). Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model-based programming and fixture design. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software applications. Certifications in advanced GD&T (e.g., ASME Y14.5 Senior Level).
