Business Systems Analyst

As a Top Secret cleared Business Analyst for this program, you will be working in an organization that’s mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong Dev Ops practices. You will collect, capture, and manage mission user needs from prioritization through concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment. You will work with a fully integrated software development team practicing Agile software development to include software architects, software engineers, cloud engineers, test engineers and help desk specialists. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to consult on complex projects while considering the business implications of technology decisions to the current and future business environment.Responsibilities: Lead collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment. Facilitate the gathering of business focused requirements to support a product team and product owner in defining the backlog and ensuring the users perspective is considered. Focus requirements gathering on improved usability, user experience, and driving user adoption and engagement. Identify core business needs and decompose and document in concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories; document business rules and construct workflow diagrams as needed. Provide consultation on complex projects while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.A typical day in the life on this program involves: Participating and leading as needed Agile ceremonies Gathering requirements from stakeholders Documenting detailed requirements and workflows to provide clear guidance to the software development team Manage, respond to, and prioritize user tickets, collaborating with the technical team and leadership to ensure timely resolution of key issues Prioritize and manage the product backlog by working with developers and stakeholders to ensure the most valuable features are clearly defined and addressed in each sprint This position will be contingent upon award to support on-site in Washington, DC at the customer facility.Requirements: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3 years of related technical specialized experience Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements Preferred: Agile and or/SAFE certifications; Cloud certifications Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) Compensation The annual starting salary for this position is between $110k-$120k annually.
