Job Summary:We are seeking a VP, Workday Security & Compliance Leadto take ownership of Workday security while also managing identity governance, data privacy, and compliance across the platform (security and cybersecurity related). This role combines hands-on configuration and design with oversight of security policies and regulatory alignment. This role manages a dedicated team of three Workday security professionals. The role directly reports to the Global Head of HR Technology. Key Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable and secure Workday security models across HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, etc and Workday Adaptive.Lead security architecture reviews and provide strategic guidance on security best practices.Ensure Workday security and cybersecurity controls across Workday applications (including HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, and other modules, Workday Adaptive, Customer Central, etc)Lead Workday security/cyber security audits, risk assessments, findings, and remediation efforts.Ensure compliance with internal governance (e.g., GCS, Data Privacy, ESDLC) and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).Collaborate with HR,Global Cyber Security, Global Technology Services, Data Privacy Office, and Compliance teams to align security practices with business needs.Maintain documentation for security configurations, access controls, and compliance procedures.Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday security incidents and escalations.Manage a team of three and support cross-functional security initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or related field.8–10+ yearsof experience in enterprise application security, with5+ years in Workday security.Demonstrated strong leadership skills and experience including managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.Expert hands-on experience with Workday security configuration and architecture.Strong critical thinking, risk management, and communication skills.Familiarity with data privacy laws and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Pro in Security) preferred.Preferred Skills:Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, or integration security.Knowledge of audit processes and security incident response.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.About State Street What we do.
